Indigenous Woodland Artist
Simone McLeod, born in 1962, is an Ojibwe artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and a proud member of the Pasqua First Nation in Saskatchewan. Starting her artistic journey at the age of thirteen, she explored various mediums before fully embracing painting later in life. Her deeply personal work reflects her soul and is described as silent prayers of hope.
Known by her Ojibwe name "Earth Blanket," Simone's art honours the natural world. Her pieces have earned international recognition and are held in collections worldwide. She currently resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where she continues to create and share her art.
