About
The Serpent River Trading Post is proudly owned and operated by the Serpent River First Nation Limited Partnership (srfnlimitedpartnership.ca). For decades, our Trading Post has been a trusted stop along the North Shore, welcoming travellers, supporting local artisans, and serving our community with pride.
Here, you will find authentic Indigenous crafts, unique artwork, handcrafted gifts, and everyday essentials, alongside confectionary and grocery items and a gas bar.
Rooted in Anishinaabe culture and guided by community values, we are committed to sharing our traditions, supporting local makers, and offering visitors a welcoming place to rest, refuel, and experience the spirit of Serpent River First Nation.
We invite you to discover authentic Indigenous products, great food and drink, convenient services, and unique gifts at our other location, Agawa Crafts Trading Post, (agawatradingpost.ca) located in Pancake Bay Ontario. The last stop North for 150 kilometers, you wont want to miss!

Our Story
For generations, the Serpent River First Nation community has welcomed travellers journeying along the North Shore. The Serpent River Trading Post was established to share that same spirit of hospitality, offering a place where culture, craftsmanship, and community come together.
What began as a simple roadside stop has grown into a meaningful destination where visitors can explore Indigenous artistry, enjoy everyday conveniences, and experience the pride and resilience of the Anishinaabe people. Today, our Trading Post continues to honour that legacy by supporting local artisans, creating economic opportunities, and celebrating the stories that shape our Nation.

Proudly Serpent River First Nation
Serpent River First Nation, known as Genabaajing, is a vibrant Anishinaabe community with roots dating back more than a thousand years. Our people have long travelled these lands and waters, guided by rich traditions, strong clan systems, and deep respect for the natural world.
Today, we honour that history by welcoming visitors to experience the culture, creativity, and resilience that define our Nation. From authentic Indigenous art and craftsmanship to the stories carried through generations, Serpent River First Nation is a place to learn, connect, and appreciate the spirit of the North Shore.
We invite you to visit with curiosity and respect, and to experience the beauty and strength of our community.
