Margaret is a Native of Walpole Island First Nation, born September 16, 1963. At the age of thirteen, she started drawing, inspired by the life around her the people, the wildlife, and also cartoons.
Margaret enjoyed sketching as a hobby, and had a collection of over 200 pieces, but unfortunately those were destroyed in a fire.
Margaret had no formal training in the visual arts up until she met Russel Noganosh of the Magnetawan First Nation. Russel recognized her talent and introduced her to different techniques and styles of painting. Margaret also has the traditional skills of her Potowatami culture.
Margaret's paintings and crafts can be seen at Irocrafts on the Six Nations Reservation where 70 pieces of her work are currently displayed.
